Khi một ứng dụng đang chạy và bị treo không thể tắt được, thông thường bạn sẽ vào tiện ích Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) để tắt. Tuy nhiên, thỉnh thoảng các ứng dụng bị treo làm Windows Task Manager, cái “phao cứu sinh” còn lại, cũng không hoạt động. Chính lúc này, một chương trình như Task Killer sẽ là giải pháp hữu hiệu khắc phục tình trạng đó.
Task Killer là một chương trình nhỏ gọn, không chiếm nhiều tài nguyên hệ thống và chạy độc lập, nó giúp có thể tắt các ứng dụng bị treo theo hai cách rất tiện lợi: từ tên cửa sổ hoặc từ file thực thi của ứng dụng.

Sau khi cài đặt, chương trình sẽ tự động chạy ngầm tại khay hệ thống. Để tắt ứng dụng đang bị treo nào đó, bạn bấm vào biểu tượng của nó, chọn Windows và tên cửa sổ ứng dụng cần tắt, hoặc chọn Processes và tên file thực thi của ứng dụng muốn tắt, sau đó bấm Yes là xong.
